Refund & Dispute Policy

Effective Date: July 1, 2025

1. Refund Eligibility

Refunds or disputes may be initiated by employers or freelancers only for tasks or projects that have not been completed according to agreed terms, or where either party has failed to deliver as expected. Refunds apply only to funds that have not yet been applied to freelancer payouts or used for completed work.

2. Dispute Resolution Process

Employers and freelancers are encouraged to communicate directly to resolve any issues. If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may escalate the matter to AcademyLite for mediation.

AcademyLite reserves the right to review relevant communications, work submissions, and evidence before making a final determination. AcademyLite has discretion to adjust employer wallet balances or freelancer account balances in accordance with the outcome.

3. Dispute Resolution Outcomes

  • For Employers: If a dispute is resolved in favor of the employer, the refunded amount will be credited to the employer’s Wallet Balance. These funds are non-withdrawable and may only be used for future tasks, projects, or services on the Platform.
  • For Freelancers: If a dispute is resolved in favor of the freelancer, the earned amount will be added to the freelancer’s Account Balance. Funds in the Account Balance are withdrawable once the freelancer meets the minimum payout threshold and complies with verification requirements.

AcademyLite does not guarantee the resolution of all disputes and disclaims liability for any outcomes. All adjustments are final and subject to the Platform’s Terms of Service and applicable policies.

4. No Refunds on Completed Work

Once a task or project is marked complete and funds have been released to the freelancer’s Account Balance, no refunds will be issued. Employer wallet credits already applied to completed tasks are final and non-refundable.

5. User Responsibilities

Users agree to act in good faith and provide accurate information during dispute resolution. Abuse of the refund or dispute process, including false claims or manipulation of balances, may result in account suspension or termination. Employers and freelancers acknowledge that AcademyLite has full discretion over Wallet Balances and Account Balances in line with these policies.
