Copyright & DMCA Notice
1. Overview
AcademyLite respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users to do the same. Content uploaded, delivered, or shared on our platform must comply with applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
2. User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that any work, files, designs, or services they provide through AcademyLite do not infringe third-party copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights. Employers must also verify that delivered work is legally compliant before using it commercially. AcademyLite cannot guarantee that work delivered by freelancers is free of copyright infringement or other violations.
3. Reporting Infringements
If you believe your copyrighted work has been used without authorization, please send us a written notice that includes the following:
- A description of your copyrighted work or other intellectual property right claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it is located on AcademyLite (specific URL or project reference).
- Your full contact details (name, mailing address, telephone number, email address).
- A statement of good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
DMCA and copyright complaints can be submitted to: support@academylite.com
4. AcademyLite’s Response
Upon receiving a valid infringement notice, AcademyLite will:
- Promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content.
- Notify the freelancer or user who uploaded the content.
- Allow the freelancer or user to submit a counter-notice if they believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification.
- Take further action if repeat violations occur, including account suspension or termination.
5. Limitation of Liability
AcademyLite does not pre-screen or actively monitor user content and is not liable for copyright infringements committed by users. Responsibility for ensuring originality and compliance rests solely with the freelancers and employers using the Platform. AcademyLite acts as a neutral intermediary and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, disclaims liability for damages arising from infringing works delivered through the Platform.
6. Escrow-Like Payments
Our payment system operates in an escrow-like state to facilitate transactions; however, AcademyLite does not provide a formal escrow service. Payments may be released to freelancers once projects are marked complete, auto-completed, or after a resolution period. If copyrighted or infringing material is discovered after payout, AcademyLite will cooperate with rights holders to investigate but is not obligated to refund employers or reverse payouts. Disputes must be resolved directly between the employer and freelancer.
7. Repeat Infringers
Users who are found to repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights may have their accounts permanently suspended or terminated at AcademyLite’s sole discretion. This policy is enforced to protect rights holders and maintain the integrity of the Platform.
